leper, if you want to have at least one developer being sure that committed code is correct and some time and energy, I would like to request a non-quick review, especially deciding whether Itms doubt has substance. An in-depth explanation, patches to reproduce the silently fixed bug and alternative implementation is uploaded to the ticket.
