There is an animation bug with the heal animation in alpha 24 that isn't in alpha23b, so it was presumably in this revision.
The position of the stick is different at the first and last frame of the animation, so the stick appears to 'teleport'.
It can be seen on in the Actor Viewer when selecting that animation, or on Jebel Barkal / Danubius for those gaia healers.
