What the patch proposes is to "clean up" thCurrently there are five technologies by mixing armor/speed techonology in one, replacing armor for health.available at the market:

Increased cost and effect.# traders +2 resistance

# traders +15% gain
# trade structures +10% international bonus
This patch changes them:
# Deleted, because it was by far the most effective, about as good as the two gain technologies combined, but cheaper than either.
# Changed to +25% health (effectively about the same, but clearer to players), excluded merchant ships (who already benefit from ship technologies), and made available in the town phase.
# Gain increase to +15%, slightly more expensive, different icon.
# Unchanged.
# Unchanged.
Altogether this makes means you have c. +33% more income when fully researched, instead of c. +58% previously, decreasing the advantage of the rich over the poor.
